Forum Review: Binary Options Edge

Today I’m looking at a binary options trading forum built to help traders get a better understanding of the markets, Binary Options Edge. The forum has been running since 2020, and has grown into a place where many people can test and evaluate different trading strategies. This is certainly a helpful resource, but one that requires a little more time than the approach we put forward here at BinaryToday.

This seems to be very little information on the creators of the BOE website. We do not know who they are, or where they are located. The community forum software they are using is powered by IP Board, and offers traders the usual elements you can expect from a website like this one.

Binary Options Edge Review

It’s quite clear, that the Binary Options Edge is a popular resource when it comes to trading. Since inception, the forum has had over 121,000 posts from nearly 35,000 members. As I spend time on the site this morning, there are currently 156 users actively looking through forum threads. So what is everyone looking at, and what is the main purpose of the site?

Well, the creators of the site tell us that it “was established to help traders by openly sharing indicators, strategies , methods, trading journals and discussing the psychology of trading.” In my estimation, they’ve successfully achieved what they’ve sought out to achieve.

There are many different categories, and popular sections of the forum that reach every aspect of their mission statement.

The main word, and aspect of the Binary Options Edge website that resonates mostly with me, is strategy. With over 50% of the threads focused on binary options strategy, it’s quite clear that their main goal is to help traders analyze new market approaches.

Forum Analysis

The most popular sections on the website are far and away the MT4 Indicators section , and the short term strategy sections. In the MT4 indicators section traders provide access to free indicators, and are generally looking for other traders to help them test these indicators and see what type of market approach comes from this information. From my experience with the form, most of these indicators are rough around the edges, and not overly helpful. I do believe that in testing these different systems and indicators, that traders can learn a great deal, but this is not the binary options software I would rely on when trading with a live account.

The strategy sections range from 30 second trades to end of day strategies. Each Binary Options Edge forum section provides strategy advice for a specific expiry time. Personally, I find myself analyzing expiry time methods anywhere from 5 minute strategies, to 1 hour strategies.

Not often have I found a complete strategy, but from time to time I’ve been able to take one of these strategies in this section, and modify them to meet my own trading approach. I’ll often check the Binary Options That Suck forum, and compare their strategies to these as well.

Conclusion

I appreciate what the Binary Options Edge community forum has to offer this marketplace. There are many helpful moderators, and a collection of very talented traders that are often willing to share and take part in the development of trading strategies. Websites like these, that are focused on binary options strategy and the growth of their reader base are far and few between. If you have some extra time in your life, and you want to mess around with some different trading approaches, then I recommend that you sign up with this forum.

While I do appreciate what this website has to offer, I don’t believe that this should be your #1 option when it comes to pursuing your trading goals. I believe that this is a solid educational foundation, but when it comes to trading signals and binary options software , I recommend commercial systems with years of testing and experience. When dealing with free indicators, you don’t know what you are going to get, and you shouldn’t be using these on your live accounts.

Thank you for stopping by, and please let me know if you have anything you’d like to add to the BinaryOptionsEdge review.

Forum Review: Binary Options That Suck

In today’s edition, I’ll be reviewing a trading forum, that’s been serving the binary market for nearly 6 years, Binary Options That Suck. While the name of the website could use a little work, it certainly worked out well for them, as it drew attention to their project, and eventually depicted a market that was full of crappy services. Yet, their main focus isn’t on scams, but their CommuniTraders forum with both thousands of threads and subscribers.

Established in 2020, the BOTS site is owned and operated by Martin Kay. There are other authors as well, including Okane, but Martin is the main man. There is no information outside of this website on Martin, and it’s unknown where the head offices for this project are located. To get in touch with the team, traders can email [email protected]

Binary Options That Suck Review

While there is the main Binary Options That Suck website with reviews and ratings, the most of my time spent here is on the forum. I find that the CommuniTraders group, is one of the better forums in the binary options marketplace. If you are willing to spend the time, and dig through the threads, you will find some valuable information and daily suggestions that can certainly help your trading efforts. I believe that being part of the community like this, is very important for manual traders, and those that are just looking to stay on top of the most current binary options trading strategies.

I also appreciate how the forum approaches new traders. Often joining a community of this magnitude can be daunting, but with a full beginners lounge, there are quite a few sticky threads that are helpful, including free introduction webinars and different trading groups.

If you know me, you know that my main approach is binary options software , and strategies that essentially do the work for me. This is always going to be my approach, but I will still spend time going through different forums to keep up-to-date with what’s going on in the marketplace, and what other traders are currently testing in their personal trading approaches. From time to time I will find valuable information that I will use in my own systems, and strategies.

While the last form that I reviewed, Binary Options Edge , focused more on binary options strategy, the Binary Options That Suck forum is focused mostly on their social trading platform, and beginners lounge. Don’t get me wrong, the strategies and tools sections each have around 300 threads, but the CommuniTraders social trading platform has almost 3000 threads, and over 16,000 posts.

Social Trading Platform

As far as I’m concerned, the most helpful aspect of the Binary Options That Suck forum, is the social trading platform. This area of the website, essentially gives traders free trading signals and insight into current market conditions. Traders frequently update sample trades, to show the community their personal trading approach, which in turn helps fellow traders adjust their strategies and prepare for similar trades of their own.

I’m not sure if these trades are being updated after the trade, but even if there are, there are also traders providing their own analysis and giving advice on different price movements.

While there is a learning curve to this section of the forum, I do recommend the traders who are focused mainly on manual trading, come here and check it out.

For those like myself, who are more interested in different tools and indicators that help with trading binary options in MT4 , I recommend checking out that part of the forum as well.

Conclusion

In terms of helpful resources in the binary options market, the Binary Options That Suck forum ranks near the top. There are many helpful threads, and sections of the forum to help every level of trader. I believe that the newbie section is a great way to start your trading journey, and then upgrade to other threads like the social trading platform, and broker reviews as you grow your trading skills.

If you are a member of this forum, and you want to leave your comments and experiences about what they have to offer, please do so now. Thank you for reading this review, and please let me know if you have anything you would like to add at any time.

How Do Brokers Scam?

The number of highly profitable trading markets is constantly increasing and this becomes more and more attractive to traders, but many of these online trading markets are widely unregulated and relatively fresh, which makes the industry highly appealing to crooks and charlatans, or in other words – Scammers. The fact that regulators take measures to prevent fraud does not make the industry scam free. Professional crooks are out there, trying to fool naïve traders en mass, with flashy sites and big, empty promises. The list of crooks is certainly not limited to brokers; marketing professionals dressed as service providers are trying to sell you mind-blowing returns. They pose no less danger than the old-fashioned bucket shops, and together they are creating havoc among untrained traders.

Well-known scam tactics include adding bonuses to traders’ accounts and then refusing any withdrawal request until some enormous (and often unreachable) volume is traded. Another common trick is to trade on clients’ account without their permission and then asking for a new deposit when the balance reaches zero.

Although the following happens less often, some really dirty brokers simply stop all communication with the client after the initial deposit, while at the same time blocking all access to the trading account. Other, less harmful tactics include constant phone call pressure and requests to add more funds to “help recover the losses” by trading more.

More recently we’ve seen another “trend”, which is making tons of victims among traders: the Recovery Services. They claim to hunt down scam brokers and help recover traders’ funds but unfortunately, this is just another form of scam, often put in practice by the same brokers that stole the money in the first place. Other times the “recovery service” is completely unrelated with the broker but in 99% of the cases, the client gets double-scammed: once by the broker and once by the fake recovery service.

Where is the Regulation?

Whether you are trading Binary Options, CFD or Cryptocurrencies, you need to pay attention to who you are dealing with. In other words: Is your broker regulated by a financial authority? Ideally, your broker should be regulated in their country of residence, as well as yours. There are plenty of regulated brokerages, so I don’t see why you would trade with a sketchy, unregulated one.

The main regulators across the globe are Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CYSEC), British Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), Australian Securities And Investments Commission (ASIC) and in the U.S. there’s the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) and Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). Other notable local regulators are the French AMF, Italian CONSOB and Germany’s BAFIN. Check if your broker is registered with one of these watchdogs before giving your money to an unregulated company!

With Cryptocurrencies, things are a bit different because most of the biggest exchanges are unregulated but this doesn’t necessarily mean they are bad or untrustworthy. However, the SEC and CFTC have already warned investors against fraudulent crypto assets and websites, so keep in mind that while no regulation doesn’t automatically mean the broker/exchange is a scam, the crypto space is pestered with crooks, just like any other market so make sure you learn how to minimize risk when trading cryptocurrencies.

Should I Open an Account?

Online Trading is sometimes a simplified trading method that could generate very high returns in a very short time but is risky and requires thinking, strategy and of course a reliable broker. Our team is here to help you better understand the differences between unreliable and untrusted brokers by pointing out the dark side of the different brokers, so that everyone could choose the right broker for them.

We’re proud to be one of the first and only objective websites focused on reviewing Brokers, Robots and trading in general. We’re proud to be copied by hundreds of fake websites who use our good reputation to fish potential clients, just as much as we’re ashamed of their poor judgment. They’re hunting clients using big words like scam or fraud, yet they’ll point naïve traders at all the wrong places. With your help, we’ve managed to review hundreds of brokers, signal services, autotraders, robots, and other related products, and will keep doing so.

But we will do more than just give you tons of reviews to read: we will actually point you in the right direction by assisting in your search for a broker and we will only show you results based on YOUR preferences. That being said, when and if you decide to open an account with a broker, you can be sure it’s the right choice for you. It only takes a few minutes to find a suitable broker, whether you are looking for binaries, Contracts For Difference (CFD), Crypto or maybe a Trading Robot.

Binary Options Brokers

Binary options also known as digital options gained a lot of popularity due to their ease of use (and in part due to some over-the-top marketing). Basically all you have to do is choose Up or Down and an expiration time. If the underlying asset is matching the direction you predicted, you make a profit. Otherwise, you lose. Nowadays this type of trading is banned in Europe but can be used in many other parts of the world; however, the number of brokers offering BO had dropped down significantly. If you’re looking for a Binary Options Broker, visit this page.

Contracts for Difference (CFD) Brokers

CFD is a relatively new style of trading to hit the mainstream scene and can be considered a bit more complicated by some, partly because there are more choices that a trader must make when opening or closing a trade and sometimes, the more choices we have, the more we doubt ourselves. Also, Contracts for Difference are usually traded on margin, meaning that Leverage is a big part of the equation. The more price travels in your chosen direction, the more you can profit (and the more you can lose if it goes the other way), and this raises the very pertinent question: How much Leverage should I use? Despite all these questions a new trader might have, CFDs are widely regarded as a very flexible and, dare I say, profitable trading vehicle, which allows for extremely personalized trading decisions for both short and long term positions. Here’s an explanation of CFD trading. Of course, for all this to work, you will need a reliable CFD broker, so if you are looking for a CFD broker, visit this page.

Cryptocurrency Brokers

Trendy! Crypto is trendy and everybody wants a piece of it. The main appeal is the high volatility and the quick profits it can bring. But this also means you can lose a lot of money pretty fast, so keep that in mind. Nowadays there are a lot of brokers that offer CFD trading on cryptocurrencies, so while they are not exclusively focused on this asset class, we can call them crypto brokers. If you are looking to trade crypto assets, visit our Crypto Brokers page, or check this article on the difference between trading and investing in crypto.

Trading Robots

Ahh, promising the world and delivering a Scam. That’s how most of the auto-trading robots work. Allegedly, these apps use secret algorithms to detect the next move in the market and then automatically open a trade, without additional user action required. Basically, free money with the push of a button. However, in the real world that’s not how things work and all robots we’ve reviewed so far proved to be cheap scams. That’s the reason why we don’t recommend ANY auto-trading robot at the moment but if we find a decent one we will surely let you know. In the meantime, you can visit our Robots page to see some of the most outrageous claims made by robot sellers.
